Sqratch Karnival: SK5 Friday the 13th

I'm not going to go into some long drawn out story about what went down and who did what, but all I can say is that it went down and it was truely amazing. It was good to see Austin, Houston and San Antonio djs all in one spot together vibing, networking and Sqratching together at the Music Lab last night.

Things started off slow like always, you know folks have to be fashionable late. But as things picked up cats started bringing the heat, damn near melting the wax to to the turntable platters as soon as they walked in the building.

Remix, Akshun Kid and Dj Rockwell made the trip all the way down from Houston or as some call it Screwston, to see what all this Sqratch Karnival talk was about. Dudes came in blazing on the decks from the get go, at times taking things to whole other level. Big ups goes out to my new H-town brethren for come all the way to the ATX to show some love. SSDJ's will be making the trek to Screwston real soon to hang with you cats for sure!

Dj Nick Nack and X-Man showed up with brew in hand ready for there monthly fix of the SK. Nick, like always wasted no time in get down with the get down the decks. X-man heckled him all night long, some of which you will be able to hear Sunday on FatLaces Radio, but more on that later.
But, big ups goes out to Nick Nack and X-Man for stopping off and showing much support like always.

Also so stopping by from WakeUpEntertainment is my man Dj Mesh. Making his first apperance at the SK! Mesh, always getting his hustle on was out pushing his show thats coming up on the 29th. Mesh glad you were able to make it out son hopefully we will see you at the next one!

Also, N.O. transplant J-Infinte stopped by for his second visit to the SK! J thanks bro for coming by(I will get at you on the beats)I did not for get.

Thanks to Nils for always keeping things intresting. From jump son comes in, jumps on the decks and goes off for about 10 mintues and then let's out a big sigh of relief! Like "Damn I've been waiting to do that shit all day long!

Thanks also to the Dove Spring Divas Misty Let and Corey for always holding us down. A special shout out goes to Let and her soon to be husband Ozzy for always helping secure and transport the much needed tables.

Also a special shout out goes to my man Souniq for stopping by and blessing us with his presence and skills!

Coming in from SA town for the first time to bless the SK was Dj Scuba, Mike and Iowa transplant Bryan. Scuba whom I played out with at a house party on New Year's came in on some mellowness laying cuts here and there every once in a while and vibing with the good folks of SK. But the real reason Scuba Scub was on some chilly chill shit was the little po po scare on the drive up from SA! Just fucking with you dawg! We al know the real reason, I think it started around 420! But much thanks goes out to those cats for coming out and showing some love and support. Your man Mike is real nice with his!

All in all the Sqratch Karnival 5 was off the chain. If you been missing it then your in luck! For the first time Superstardjs will bring you an all special exclusive!
